Mick Walker

Throughout the early 60's Mick worked with a rock band as a bass player and singer making records for Decca and appearing on most of the Rock 'n' Roll T.V. shows of the era. At this time Mick started doing comedy on stage with the band.
After leaving the band in 1965 Mick became involved in producing and presenting cabaret shows with such artist's as Tom jones, The Everly Brothers, Chuck Berry, Tommy Cooper and Max Wall to name but a few.
In 1969 Mick formed his own comedy jazz trio doing a ten month season at the famous Pigalle club in London Piccadilly and then touring the British cabaret circuit
At this time due to his long standing interest and participation in amateur boxing Mick started to fit in film and stunt work wherever possible.
After finishing a cabaret season on the cruise liner QEII sailing from New York, the trio returned to Britain whereupon Mick fell from a cliff in the north of England sustaining senous injuries, the act broke up.
After several months in hospital Mick went into the rock band management industry in England, Europe and eventually South America where he spent two years based in Bogota, Colombia.
He returned to England in 1976 and began working for john Reid Enterprises as head of security and personal bodyguard to Elton john, Freddie Mercury and Kiki Dee.
By the summer of 1977 Mick was back in the production and performing side of the business presenting shows and doing stand up comedy at the "BRAHMS and LISZT" and "Club Next Door" in Londons Covent Garden.
In 1980 Mick returned to the Midlands performing and producing cabaret shows, until. 1982 when he took up the position as Head I of Entertainments for the Pontinental Holiday circuit on Spains Costa del Sol.
Returning to England in the mid 80's Mick 4 continued working as a stand up comedian doing various T.V. shows including three series for the BBC with Tom 0' Connor where his excellent ability with accents was utilised in creating comedy character parts.
Since the late 80's Mick has spent his time between England and Spain as a comedian and entertainment consultant.
He has developed a first class reputation on the cabaret and cruise ship circuits and with his own specific brand of comedy achieves great acclaim as an after dinner entertainer at both sporting and corporate functions.
